Tourism Asset Inventory Open House

The Town of Collingwood, in collaboration with Bannikin and RT07, is developing a Tourism Asset Inventory to have a clear understanding of Collingwood’s tourism asset make-up and its value proposition. This inventory will help inform the Town on opportunities for tourism products and experience investments, and tourism marketing initiatives.

As part of developing the Tourism Asset Inventory, the Town will be hosting an in-person Tourism Asset Inventory Open House on Tuesday, November 4 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. or Wednesday, November 5 from 8:30 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. at Town of Collingwood Council Chambers (97 Hurontario St). During this time, the team at Bannikin will be showcasing preliminary insights on the make-up of Collingwood’s tourism assets. They will also be looking to gather additional insights from Collingwood residents, industry members, tourism partners, representatives of community organizations, etc., to supplement the Tourism Asset Inventory and gather perspectives on the associated values community members have towards the tourism assets in the Town of Collingwood.

Tourism Asset Inventory Survey

As part of implementing Collingwood’s Tourism Master Plan, the Town in collaboration with Bannikin and RT07 is creating an inventory of tangible and intangible local and regional tourism assets. As part of the process, a Tourism Business Survey is running from Wednesday, October 15th to Sunday, November 9th 2025 until 11:59pm to gather insights from owners and operators of tourism-related businesses in Collingwood.  The survey is made up of 19 questions and should take between 5-10 minutes to complete. Hard copies of the survey are also available at the Town’s Economic Development office at the Business Development Centre at 105 Hurontario Street.

  • Clarify and confirm the Town of Collingwood’s destination management role and responsibilities
  • Develop strategies and related actions that are achievable by the Town of Collingwood within a 3-5 year timeframe
  • Consider alignments between the tourism master plan and other relevant work
