June 11, 2026 - Collingwood Mayor's Economic Development Roundtable
The Economic Development department will be hosting a collaborative session where our team will be sharing updates on current tourism initiatives taking place in Collingwood, highlighting emerging opportunities, and opening the floor for discussion on how we can continue to strengthen Collingwood’s visitor economy together. This will be a great opportunity to connect with fellow operators and stakeholders, exchange ideas, and be part of shaping our tourism future. Light refreshments will be provided.
This event is invitation only and intended for those who are actively part of Collingwood’s local tourism community.

March 17, 2026 - Collingwood Mayor's Economic Development Roundtable

Public registration for the Collingwood Mayor’s Economic Development Roundtable is now closed. However, limited spaces remain for large employers in construction, manufacturing, engineering, tourism and related sectors. If your organization is interested in attending, please contact staff at [email protected] by March 16, 2026 noon.
The Town of Collingwood’s Economic Development division is inviting business leaders, stakeholders, and regional partners to join the Mayor’s Roundtable on Economic Development on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Collingwood Public Library – Community Rooms B&C. The session will highlight progress to date on the Economic Development Action Plan and explore next steps as the Town begins a planned refresh of the strategy.
About the Economic Development Action Plan (EDAP)
Collingwood’s EDAP guides policy, investment, and programming in support of a resilient, diversified, and innovative local economy. With the current plan now at the end of its intended lifecycle, the refresh will align the EDAP with major corporate strategies including the Community-Based Strategic Plan, Downtown Master Plan, and Tourism Master Plan and more while integrating feedback from local businesses and regional partners.

October 20th, 2025 - Business Development Centre (BDC) Open House
| In celebration of Small Business Week, the Business Development Centre (BDC) hosted an Open House for local businesses, entrepreneurs and supporters of the business community on Monday, October 20th, from 9:00am to 11:00am at 105 Hurontario Street. 2025 marked 10 years of collaborative service delivery by the BDC partners! |
Tourism Open House - November 5, 2025
The Town of Collingwood hosted two in-person Tourism Asset Inventory Open Houses. You could choose to attend on Tuesday, November 4th or Wednesday, November 5th, 2025. During this time, the Bannikin team showcased preliminary insights on the make-up of Collingwood’s tourism assets. They seeked to gather additional insights from Collingwood residents, industry members, tourism partners, representatives of community organizations, etc., to supplement the Tourism Asset Inventory and to gather perspectives on the values community members have towards the tourism assets in the Town of Collingwood.
Tourism Asset Survey - October 15, 2025
The Tourism survey was launched to help gather insights into the market readiness and accessibility of visitor-facing tourism businesses located within the municipality. This helped determine tourism marketing initiatives and provide insights into areas of support to better prepare for visitor arrivals.
Tourism-related business owners and operators in Collingwood who sell goods and services directly to visitors were invited to take part in the survey to share their insights. Some businesses included accommodations, food and beverage establishments, transportation operators, retailers, etc.
The survey ran from Wednesday, October 15th, to Sunday, November 9th, at 11:59 p.m 2025
