On Saturday, January 24th, on behalf of the the Town of Collingwood, Mayor Yvonne Hamlin, along with Deputy Mayor Tim Fryer, Councillors Christopher Baines, Steve Perry, Chris Potts and Rob Ring, and Downtown BIA General Manager Sue Nicholson stopped by to offer their congratulations and best wishes, and join in the official ribbon cutting and plaque presentation commemorating the opening of this wonderful new business. Be sure to stop by and check out their great assortment of amazing baked goods, including their fantastic cinnamon buns … but get there early as they sell out quickly! You can find them at 122 Hurontario Street (behind the Bell store with bakery access off of Schoolhouse Lane) or 116 Schoolhouse lane.
Gustav Chophouse & Bar – 10th Anniversary

Gustav Chophouse & Bar Celebrated a significant milestone, their 10th Anniversary. Congratulations to John and Susan Garbe and their dedicated team who worked tirelessly throughout a very busy evening of celebration. Guests enjoyed live music by Collingwood favourites, Jason Redman and Drew Wright and were treated to complimentary beverages, hors d’oeuvres and a live oyster station. Mayor Yvonne Hamlin, along with Deputy Mayor Tim Fryer and members of council, Steve Perry and Christopher Bains were in attendance to help mark this milestone celebration along with the Levoy family, who own and operate the Georgian Bay Hotel.
