Prerna brings extensive experience across economic development programs and services, grounded in a commitment to continuous improvement, relationship building, and innovation. She is a self‑motivated, results‑driven professional who excels in project leadership, stakeholder engagement, and cultivating strategic partnerships across government, industry, academia, and community organizations.
With a Master’s in Business Management from the Schulich School of Business at York University, a post‑graduate certificate in Big Data Analytics, and a range of professional certifications in tourism and economic development, Prerna blends data‑informed strategy with community‑focused insights. She has built her career in progressively responsible roles throughout the regional economic development ecosystem.
Prerna is passionate about fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration through open communication, accountability, and strong connections between business and post‑secondary institutions. Her work supports workforce development, business growth, and a vibrant local economy.
Outside of the office, Prerna brings an engaging and lively energy to everything she does — and can often be found exploring the trails, waterfront, and small‑town gems of Southern Georgian Bay.

Beckett Frisch

Specialist, Economic Development

Beckett is a Registered Professional Planner with experience in urban growth monitoring and analysis, development review, strategic planning, and place-based economic development. With a Master’s in Planning, Bachelor’s in Economics, and an ongoing commitment to learning and professional development, he approaches his work with curiosity and is driven by the desire to achieve positive community outcomes with measurable results.

Outside of the office, you can find Beckett on his bike searching for a new favourite spot to have a coffee and plan his next adventure.

Leah O’Donnell

Coordinator, Economic Development

Town of Collingwood

Leah brings a strong background in municipal administration, marketing, and stakeholder engagement. Her experience spans both operational and strategic work, including digital media coordination, community engagement, and support for local business campaigns. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration – Marketing from George Brown College and has completed professional development courses in municipal administration, accessibility and project management. Her collaborative approach, attention to detail, and passion for community development make her a valuable member of the Economic Development team.
